Can I just say how much better I feel after limiting my meat intake? I mean FO REALZ YO. I had constant headache from my blood pressure sky rocketing, couldn't relax, I was guzzling water like no other but no change. Then I had the great idea to just start flushing my body with anything fruit and veggie. Adding any type of veg where ever I could. I mean it really is a normal thing to do that, but for some reason I think we used up all the vegetables in the house during thanksgiving and haven't gone back for any food that I was eating like.... bread. lmao.
So I made a terrible combination just now with juice and this wheat grass mix. Mm hmm... yea almost choked up and died in a pool of green goo. I lack in veg/fruits right now, I mean I try and eat a lot of different kinds of veggies but really if I write everything down it's not as diverse as i thought it would be. So After Thanksgiving I got a bottle of the Bolthouse farms juice, the green goodness. You know if I had a juicer I would tell everyone in the world to juice every other day. It's the easiest way of getting all the fruits and vegetables in a drink. Plus having anything raw is much better than cooking it, cause as soon as you cook something it loses nutrients. In the store because most things take forever to get to a grocery store you only gets roughly 40% of the nutrients as a freshly picked veg/fruit. Wholes Foods I know has local farmers they try and get mot of their stuff in from. Also After watching Food Matters on Netflix the other night, it was talking about how fertile soil will produce fruits and veg with really high nutrient content, it will also have the least amount of bugs. Which means less pesticides, most reasons for pesticides according to Charlotte Gerson (founder of Gerson Institute). Just an interesting thought.
Anyways, Bolthouse farms juice has Spirulina which is SUPER good for you (link at the bottom for how good it is), plus a good arm full of fruits and veggies, plus vitamins and minerals. I mixed that with "The Amazing Trio" barley, wheat, and alfalfa grass whole food drink powder. It suggests it's great with juice. Mm hmm... ok first off, it also suggests to have like 3 scoops of this stuff a day, I'm not going to sip on it with my juice, I'm going to chug it or take a shot of this stuff. The major downside is that it's chalky, I really don't do chalk-like anything. So I've been doing shots with the grass powder and juice mixture... until today I thought "Oh lets up the ante, 2 scoops in 6oz of juice!!" Was my original thought, until i took a swig of the ridiculously thick chalky drink and had to hold myself together not to spit it out cause that's roughly $3 a gulp with how much that powder costs lmao. Anyways I mixed in some water, more juice and just got rid of the rest somehow. I suggest just getting it down which ever way possible, I suggest a thick smoothy shot so when the grass powder makes things thick you can pretend for a short period of time before the tastesbuds gets a hold of what you're doing that it's supposed to be thick like that.
Also since potassium is good for people with high blood pressure, and I'm off the drug, I'm loading up on bananas and grapefruit.
Being healthy kinda sucks, but when you don't have cravings it goes by really easy. I think the least healthy thing I ate was the barilla plus pasta.
Anyways status update on weight :189lbs (wuh wuh wwaaaaaa)
